Rev. Alex Bugeraha Bisaga

Alex Bugeraha Bisaga is General Secretary of the Baptists' Church of Tanzania. His career reflects steady upward growth within church and university leadership. His strengths lie in bridging counselling-based pastoral care with organizational governance, a rare fit for a General Secretary role that requires both shepherding congregations and managing denominational administration.

His research background in psychosocial intervention and curriculum design further equips him to guide the church's programmes on youth development and community welfare. Combining theological depth, academic training, and an administrative track record, he is well-positioned to strengthen governance, pastoral care coordination, and institutional development within the Baptist Church of Tanzania.

His institutional service includes Acting Principal of the Tanzania Baptist Institute of Education; Liaison Officer between Mount Meru University and the Baptist Convention of Tanzania; Senior Administrative Assistant and Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; and Arusha Branch Director.

Since 2005 he has also served as Senior Pastor of Mount Meru Kielelezo Baptist Church, giving him deep, ongoing pastoral credibility alongside institutional experience.
