General Overseer's Welcome

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, distinguished visitors, mission partners, and friends. It is my great privilege to welcome you to the official website of the Baptists' Church of Tanzania (BCT).

Since our missionary beginnings in 1956, the Baptists' Church of Tanzania has remained steadfast in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, planting churches, making disciples, developing Christian leaders, and serving communities throughout the United Republic of Tanzania. Guided by the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we continue to fulfill our calling of reaching every generation and every community with the transforming message of Christ.

Our enduring motto, "Injili kwa Wote" (Gospel for All), reflects our commitment to making the Gospel accessible to every person, regardless of age, ethnicity, social background, or geographical location. We believe that the Great Commission is not only a responsibility but also a privilege entrusted to every believer and every local church.

Today, the Baptists' Church of Tanzania is a growing family of believers with 1500+ churches organized across seven zones throughout the country. Through evangelism, church planting, theological education, children's and youth ministries, women's and men's fellowships, community development, and compassionate service, we seek to demonstrate the love of Christ in both word and deed.

As Tanzania continues to grow, we recognize the increasing need for strategic partnerships that will strengthen our mission and expand our impact. We warmly welcome churches, mission organizations, Christian foundations, development agencies, educational institutions, healthcare providers, investors, businesses, and individuals who share our vision of transforming lives through the Gospel.

We believe that Christian partnership extends beyond financial support. It includes sharing knowledge, building institutional capacity, investing in education, healthcare, agriculture, leadership development, innovation, community transformation, and sustainable livelihoods. Together, we can build stronger communities, empower future generations, and glorify God through holistic ministry.

Whether you are seeking a church family, exploring opportunities for missionary service, looking to invest in sustainable development initiatives, or desiring to partner in advancing God's Kingdom, we invite you to journey with us. There are countless opportunities to serve alongside the Baptists' Church of Tanzania as we continue to expand the reach of the Gospel and respond to the spiritual and social needs of our nation.

I encourage you to explore our website, learn about our ministries, discover our investment and partnership opportunities, participate in our events, access our resources, and join us in prayer and service.

Together, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, let us continue to proclaim "Injili kwa Wote" and build communities transformed by faith, hope, and love. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you always.

In Christ's Service,
