Overview

Theological Education prepares pastors, missionaries, evangelists, educators, and Christian leaders for service across Tanzania and beyond.

Historical records note the establishment of the theological seminary in Arusha in 1962 for students from Kenya and Tanzania — a continuing foundation for ministerial formation in the Baptists' Church of Tanzania.

Objectives

  • Form pastors and missionaries for faithful Gospel ministry
  • Strengthen Bible school and seminary pathways
  • Integrate academic study with practical ministerial formation

Programmes

Seminaries

Degree-level theological education and leadership formation.

Seminaries provide degree-level theological education and leadership formation for those called to pastoral and missionary service across East Africa.

Bible Schools

Certificate and diploma pathways for pastoral preparation.

Bible Schools offer certificate and diploma pathways that prepare pastors and church leaders with sound doctrine and practical ministry skills for local congregations.

Ministerial Formation

Practical training for pastors, evangelists and church planters.

Ministerial Formation integrates classroom learning with supervised practice — preaching, pastoral care, evangelism, and church planting — so graduates are ready to serve the Baptists' Church of Tanzania faithfully.
